Ask the thing you've never asked.

In Ōtsuchi, Japan, there's a phone box in a garden with a disconnected rotary phone inside it. People go there to say things to the dead. Nobody is on the other end, and that is the point — it's easier to say something true when nothing is going to answer back.

This is that. If there's a question you've never felt able to ask out loud — about what you believe, or stopped believing, or can't admit you doubt — because of who'd hear it, or because it felt disloyal, or stupid, or too late to be asking, you can put it down here.

Nothing comes back. No reply, no follow-up, nothing to check later. Questions left here get read, and some may be read aloud one day — never with a name on them, because there isn't one to use. No name, no email, no account, nothing that points back to you. I have no way of knowing who you are, and I'd rather keep it that way.
